1905 Half Crown. aUNC. One of the most iconic coins of the 20th Century. Rare in any grade and acutely rare as good as this. A highly desirable coin for ANY collection as a result.

Obverse with King Edward VII facing right, and 'EDWARDVS VII DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX' as legend. The reverse shows a crowned shield inside a garter.

Shield quadrants represent members of the UK: 3 lions for England, 1 lion for Scotland, a harp for Ireland. This design is surrounded by a legend reading 'FID: DEF: IND: IMP:' above, and the date below between 'HALF' and 'CROWN'.

With lustre in the legends though once wiped. Regardless of this an exceptional coin with a  striking portrait and incredible detail in the hair & beard. One of the undoubted stars of the auction.
