1875 Penny, NGC MS65RB, Victoria. Noted as struck on a defective planchet this perhaps a thinning to 9 o'clock on the obverse (3 o'clock on reverse) where the rim is incomplete. Small verdigris spot on obverse in this area and mark in 5 of date. All this aside, an extremely handsome example with contrasting tones and much original lustre in the legends. Scarce, UNC. [Freeman 82 (8+J), Peck 1703, S.3955]
