1797 Bronzed copper restrike pattern halfpenny, George III. Obv. laureate and draped bust with legend in thick "cartwheel" rim, Rev. Seated Britannia with date below, this with first three digits of date notably recut/restruck forming a potential variety from the plate coin in Peck. It is curious to note that no examples have been found sold in recent years and therefore perhaps much rarer than the book suggests.
