A spectacular 1937 19-coin proof set celebrating the coronation of King George VI. Comprising the four-coin gold set of five pounds, two pounds, sovereign and half-sovereign and then crown through to farthing including Maundy set. The gold issues all with notable hairlines within the fields though not extending over the devices except for the sovereign which has a notable light scratch across the cheek. The silver, bronze and brass issues vibrant and generally nFDC. A most unusual set in custom made box for the discerning collector.
