Isle of Man 1989 "Manx Blimp" £2 coin, Elizabeth II. Manx Airlines was an English-owned company operating flights on the Isle of Man between 1982 & 2002. The proposed launching an Airship service to the UK Mainland but when this was scrapped the coins bearing the proposed Blimp were recalled. Less than 300 examples are believed to have survived and now sit as a Holy Grail coin for Isle of Man and Territory coin collectors. This example presents with a light scratch to the obverse from rim-to-rim, but certain not to detract as mainly lost within the design and only appearing by the crown and by the triskelion to left of date. An exceptionally rare offering. [IM89B2]
